| Laura Wiedner-Smith, CTRS, CIMI, has a Bachelor of Science degree in
Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Iowa and is
certified by both the National Council for Therapeutic
Recreation Specialists and the International Association of
Infant Massage. Laura has worked in physical rehabilitation
for the past 13 years, with 7 of those years focusing on
children with special needs. She is currently a Recreational
Therapist and an infant massage class instructor at several
Kansas City-area hospitals.
Laura has also taught
classes to teenage mothers at a Kansas City area alternative
school on play skills, toddler massage, and the importance of
touch. She has spoken at numerous educational offerings
including The Childbirth Educators Symposium, Parents as
Teachers, and La Leche League support meetings. She is the
owner of Pediatric Education and Development Services, LLC,
and personally experienced the benefits of infant massage when
one of her daughters was born prematurely. She and her husband
Joe live in Lenexa, KS, and have two daughters, Madison and
Mikayla.

| Carolyn Guenther Molloy, LMT,
CIMI, has been a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Infant
Massage Instructor since 1990 and now focuses on
working with high-risk pregnant in-patients and premature
infants at St. Luke’s’ Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
Carolyn started the adult massage therapy program at St. Luke’s
in 1992 and is the co-creator of the Tender Touch Program,
which was started there in 1993. Tender Touch is a parent
education touch therapy program for parents with premature or
medically fragile infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
(NICU) and is one of the first of its kind in the nation.
Carolyn is a member of the
International Association of Infant Massage, Associated
Bodywork and Massage Professionals, the Association for
Pre-and Perinatal Psychology and Health, and the American
Association for Premature Infants. She was a featured speaker
at the 1998 National Conference for the International
Association of Infant Massage and the 1998 La Leche League
Missouri State Conference. Currently, Carolyn is working with
Tender Touch and instructing medical and massage professionals
in how to set up touch therapy programs of their own through
her Nurturing NICU Training Workshops. Carolyn, her husband
Stephen, and their three cats reside in Kansas City, MO.
